Comparison of correlations between NEO-PI-R and HPI scales in American and Czech sample and their visualisation through method of Sociomapping
Abstract
The main aim of this study was to explore correlations between scales of Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI) and NEO Personality Inventory-Revised (NEO-PI-R) in the Czech conditions. Furthermore, we studied how these correlations differ from American ones.
For correlation analysis Pearson correlation coefficient was used. Correlation matrices from both studies were consequently compared.
The high number of statistically significant differences between correlations of our and American study proved that relationships between scales of HPI and NEO-PI-R significantly differ. The most significant differences were found between the correlations of Agreeableness and Interpersonal Sensitivity, Prudence and Openness, and also between the correlations of Interpersonal Sensitivity and Extraversion.
Relationships of the scales from both questionnaires were visualized by the method called Sociomapping.
