Abstract

This text is the outcome of the ethnographic research in various Roma communities at the Czech Republic and at the Czech schools, where Roma children are educated. The inquiry is based on the qualitative methods like participant observation and deep interviews.

Focus of the research is on the causes of misunderstandings between the majority and the minority in the field of education. Why repeatedly Roma and non-Roma misunderstand themselves? In the theory we are trying to find answer, which are emanate from anthropological, sociological and psychological concepts of the body and the discipline within concrete culture.
