Abstract

The first Czech modern monograph presenting in a comprehensive way the branch of International Humanitarian Law and its systemic relations to other branches and institutions of international law. The aim of this book is to give a overview of the regulation of armed conflicts in the view of contemporary international law.

International humanitarian law is understood here in its broad sense, i.e. constisting of the law of Geneva, protecting victims of armed conflicts and the law of the Hague, regulating armed conflict to the extent of its methods, instruments etc. by prohibiting certain conduct.
