Developing key competencies of pupils through project training method in chemistry

Abstract

Project training method has been described since the 19 - 20 th century. Teaching ideas are based in pragmatism of J.

Dewey and W.H. Kilpatrick.

In Czechoslovakia, there were first written mention of the use of project education in the 30th and after World War II, it was recommended to teach in elementary schools. Next principles od project teaching in our schools appeared in the 70th, when the teachers tried to integrate different subjects.

On the basis of empirical research focused on project teaching and organization design competition for pupils are in this articke showed specific examples of development of key competencies.
