Mythology and History Studies on the Literature of German Romanticism and Postwar Period (1945-1953)

This doctoral thesis is concerned with mythological patterns for interpretations of history used in fiction literature. In theoretical part it focusses the myth-conception of Gerhart von Graevenitz, furthermore wors of Novalis Achim von Arnim, E.T.A.
Hoffmann, Arno Schmidt and Hermann Kasack are analysed.
