Abstract

The research with the issue of the using of inhalation of concentrated oxygen during two-minute of the special basketball test. The aim of the study was performed to verify the impact of inhalation of concentrated oxygen during intensive short-term load of the concentrations and in view of the organism response to load (heart rate - HR and blood lactate levels).

Research was conducted on 8 subjects. The test consisted of two parts, where testing was executed from 72 hours apart.

Before the test, between the and after each test, volunteers received inhalation (oxygen or placebo). During test and after the test, we monitored heart rate, after tests we were monitored blood lactate.

We didn´t recorded a statistically significant effect of oxygen inhalation on the frequency and percentage of shooting, which caused the low reliability of the test. There was recorded statistically significant changes (p <0.05) after inhalation of oxygen at HR(- 11%) and the lactate levels in capillary blood (- 25%).
