Abstract
Current approaches in treating spinal disorders (especially DDD - Degenerative Disc Diseases) and appropriate spinal implants are reviewed in this article. Criticism of the two main principles (which are considered to be the fusion and the total disc replacement) is presented.
In addition there are mentioned causes of failure of current implants.
