Identification of terpenoic varnishes used in artworks by gas chromatography

Abstract

In this oral presentation is discussed identification of terpenoic varnishes in artorks by gas chromatography method. There is also showen, how the the resins were identified by their characteristic retention times of their individual components.

Thank to these results, the composition of the model samples and real golden varnishes samples was determined.
