Abstract

In the study two different methods of sciatic notch outline between two specially defined landmarks digitalization was applied. The first curve acquisition was performed using MicroScribe®G2X, the second using special software Morphome3cs.

The study was based on 114 standardized photographs of pelvic bones of adult individuals of known sex from Maxwell skeletal collection. An assessment of sexual dimorphism was performed by principal component analysis (PCA) and discriminant analysis (DA).
