The Christian Kabbalah in the philosophy of Giovanni Pico della Mirandola

Abstract

This paper deals with Mirandola´concept of the Christian Kabbalah. In Pico's opinion Kabbalah has two aspects.

The first, called apologetical - mystical, helps us to confirm the Christian doctrine (for instance the concept of the Holy Trinity). The other one directs us to the mystical union with God in the kiss of the death (mors osculi, which is the ultimate human felicity.
