Thrombotic mutations in Czech population of female adults

Publication

Abstract

Genetic traits to thrombosis include genes related to the disturbance of balance between genesis a dissolving thrombus or increasing the concentration of homocysteine in blood. A total of 800 women in the average age of 25-30 were tested.

DNA samples were isolated blood or bucal swap specimens and analyzed by PCR-ARMS, HRM, and microarray genotyping methods. The following mutations were studied in our subjects: Leiden (F5 gene), G20210A (F2 gene), C677T and A1298C (MTHFR gene) , 4G/5G (PAI-1 gene), g.1253198C>A and g.1249535C>T (F7 gene), C10034T (FGG gene), C196T (ITGB3 gene).

In statistical analyses we determined frequencies of all studied genotypes and alelas. Results were correlated with data from anamnesis.
