Particle-In-Cell Simulations of the Katsumata Probe

Abstract

Katsumata probe serves to measure the ion temperature in magnetized plasma. Such a probe typicaly consists of a collector submerged inside a hollow tube, which is oriented perpendicularly to the magnetic field.
