Abstract

This study occupy by the influence of knee bracing on plantar pressure distribution changes during gait in healthy individuals. The experimental group concerns 6 healthy subjects aged 23-33 years, using a Footscan and Kistler platform for determinate the effects of three types of knee braces on the dynamic interaction of the foot contacting the ground.

The statistical results ilustrate, that using functional knee brace increases the plantar pressure under intermedial forefoot, using prophylactic knee brace increases plantar pressure under lateral forefoot and decreases under medial hindfoot and using the knee sleeve decreases plantar pressure under both lateral and medial hindfoot.
