Abstract
This chapter deals with functional morphology of the liver, describes key role of the liver in intermediary and energy metabolism, bile production and sectretion, biotransformation of xenobiotics, immune and vascular functions, and production, secretion, storage, and transformation of many signal molecules with their consequent role in control of various functions within the body.
