Abstract
This chapter gives information about basic mechanisms of toxic liver injury, classification of hepatotoxic agents according to various aspects, basic types of liver lesions, and drug-induced acute and chronic liver lesions. The authors describe the causes of individual susceptibility to hepatotoxic action of xenobiotics, diagnostics and differential diagnostics of toxic liver damage, and prognosis of drug-induced liver injury.
