Model networks with hexahydro-1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-trione (isocyanurate) rings as a crosslink points were prepared from 2,4-toluene diisocyanate and macrodiol (α,ω-dihydroxy poly(oxypropylene) ) in a bulk under catalysis by tertiary amines. The controlled content of dangling chains was obtained by partial substitution of macrodiol by monool component.
Multiple extractions, differential scanning calorimetry, dynamic mechanical and thermogravimetry analyses and photoelastical measurements were used for the characterization of the networks.
