The authors present the profile of body composition and its comparison between 5 junior teams (modern pentathlon, orienteering run, swimming, fencing and triathlon). For the identification of body composition, multifrequency bioimpedance analysis BIA 2000M was used.
Insignificant differences in some measured parameters (the ratio of extracellular and intracellular mass, percentage of fat mass) indicate the quality body composition of all measured athletes. The proportion of relative fat free mass was the lowest for the fencers and the highest for the penathlon athletes.
Triathletes and swimmers achieved the same results. Significant differences between the group of fencers and all other sports were proved.
The lowest proportion of intracellular mass was found in fencers and the highest in penthatlon athletes and swimmers respectively.
