The main aim of the paper is to introduce the results of study planning and building designed landscape around the chateau Kačina from the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 19th century. The paper deals with the designed landscape based on the study of literature and archive files and deep assessing the role of the founder Johann Rudolph Chotek and his collaborators.
The results are a part of the research project of the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic: “The implementation of the European Landscape Convention in intensively utilised type of agricultural landscape with signs of historical landscape design activities – the pilot study at the Nové Dvory – Kačina region.”
