Team cohesion and emotional experience in rugby players

Abstract

The main aim of this study is to examine the relationship between team cohesiveness and affective experiences. A secondary aim is to determine how repeated measurements will contribute to the overall variability of team cohession subscale scores.

The studied variables are team cohession scores (measured by Group Environment Questionnaire), structure of affective experiences (selected from scales of Individual Zones of Optimal Functioning Questionnaire) and perceived tam successfulness. This project is designed as a longitudinal study monitoring the variables over one year.

Participants will be rugby players (N = 60) from 3 teams participating in the top competitions in the Czech Republic.
