DNA-based identification of Herbertus species on Gough Island, South Atlantic Ocean

Abstract

Based on phylogenetic analyses of nrITS sequences and accompanying morphological investigations, several accessions of Herbertus from the South Atlantic Gough Island were identified as Herbertus runcinatus and H. sendtneri.
