Abstract

Midgut epithelium of Nicoletia phytophila is composed from epithelial cells and regenerative cells which form regenerative nests. Regenerative cells are either dividing or differentiating.

Spot desmosomes are between regenerative cells. Degeneration runs both in necrotic and apoptotic ways.
