Landslide field research and capacity building through international collaboration

Abstract

The Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic was selected as one of World Centres of Excellence on Landslide Risk Reduction for the period of 2008-2011. It focused mainly on field research and capacity building, is based on multilateral cooperation both at the national and international levels.

The field research is carried on field mapping, direct monitoring and data analyses in several parts of Central Europe, Central Asia, selected parts of the Andes and East Africa.
