The obituary summarizes the life stages of the Czech psychologist V. Břicháček, who had to leave from political reasons the Charles University in 1969 and returned there as late as in 1990.
As a researcher he devoted his work to six issues: 1. research projects, research methods and statistical data procession, 2. personality in difficult life situations, 3. positive aspects of life, 4. research of early development of children, 5. psychology of health, 6. changes of personality and generations in the course of time.
