Abstract
The study traces the transformation of Karlštejn from the former king´s castle securing the imperial crown the jewels to the castle, which was, after the Hussitian revolution, controlled by the Czech Estates, namely the aristocracy. Placing of the Czech crown and Crown archive can be attributed to this aristocracy.
