Linking in teaching linear equations - forms and purposes. The case of Czech Republic

Abstract

Linking may be perceived as an elementary phenomenon which underlies the process of comprehension and costruction of new concepts. The chapter deals with forms and purposes of linking in teaching the mathematical topic Linear equations in two Czech classrooms.
