Abstract
The book is not only a diving guide to notable sites on the Orlik, Kamýk and Slapy reservoirs, but also an insight into the history of the flooded areas. Besides the introduction and general information about the locations and a description of natural conditions, the book includes a description of the dam at different locations, including 66 sites related to the history or interesting events.
A few convenient supplements to the topic can be found at the end of the book: . a mini-atlas of the most common fish with their underwater photographs . important contacts for water rescue, first aid and hyperbaric chambers . a list of diving bases. The fundamental part of the book consists of detailed descriptions of sites, which typically include GPS coordinates, a detailed site plan with positions and sketches of flooded buildings and objects, instructions on how to find them, period photographs and postcards, the history of the place and its people, important events, and the course of discoveries.
