The possibility of stimulation of a football players shooting speed width the help of external additional resistance method

Abstract

The research objective was to find out about the effect of an external resistance usage to the football players shooting speed. The research team was created by n = 8 top players (the age 24 ± 4.7 years, body height 179.5 ± 4.1cm, body weight 70.4 ± 5.1kg).During the 8-week preparation period of the experimental group we applied additional, outside resistance (ankle weight bands) at the size of 1% of the player body weight. To monitor the ball speed while being shot by direct instep we used the radar device STALKER ATS.The shooting speed level increased after 8-week training in case of the experimental group by 3.39% (1.11m.s-1; ES = 0.83; MOI = 3.51%) when the average entry value represented 31.62 ± 1.34 m.s-1 and the final value was 32.73 ± 1.68 m.s-1(P<0,05).These results show that speed of the ball can be developed by appropriate training with aplication external resistance.
