Is the impaired motor proficiency the risk factor of overweight and obesity in younger school-age children ?

Abstract

Relationship between developmental coordination disorder(DCD)and overweight in children. DCD can be the risk for the excessive body weight as early as the younger school age, and risk can be icreased with a progressive age, likely due to lowering physical activity since the pre-pubescence to pubescence.
