Ichtyofauna of the middle reaches of the river Vlašimská Blanice (Central Bohemia)

Abstract

During electrofishing in 1994–2006 in all 23 fish species were registered in the middle reaches of the river Vlašimská Blanice (Central Bohemia, tributary of the river Sázava, Labe basin). Three species (Gobio gobio, Leuciscus cephalus, Rutilus rutilus) formed altogether over 75% of total abundance of the found ichtyocenosis.

Further registered fishes and lampreys were as follow: Lampetra planeri, Salmo trutta, Oncorhynchus mykiss, Thymallus thymallus, Leuciscus leuciscus, Carassius auratus, Alburnus alburnus, Cyprinus carpio, Pseudorasbora parva, Aspius aspius, Tinca tinca, Scardinius erythrophthalmus, Blicca bjoerkna, Abramis brama, Barbatula barbatula, Esox lucius, Misgurnus fossilis, Perca fluviatilis, Sander luciopera and Cottus gobio.
