Abstract
One of the essential functions of any nature park is its role in the environmental education, as the parks cultivate their visitors through their very existence. A vast net of natural parks is to be found in the Netherlands.
Various possibilities of using of a nature park for practical environmental education are presented in the article, with the Dutch National Park Schiermonnikoog taken as an example.
