The contribution deals with current issues related to integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) into school curriculum and into educational reality of basic schools. Based on the outcomes of comparative analysis of curricular objectives (objectives focused on development of information literacy and concrete requirements defined in Framework Educational Programme for the field ICT) the contribution draws attention to key issues, interpretation of which can negatively affect educational results in schools.
The paper describes specifics of pedagogical research that are necessary to bring relevant outcomes to increase quality of information education.
