Coexisting cyclic parthenogens comprise a Holocene species flock in Eubosmina

Abstract

Mixed breeding systems with extended clonal phases and weak sexual recruitment are widespread but often thought to impede the formation of discrete evolutionary clusters. However, species flock have been detected in coexisting cladoceran genus Eubosmina despite the sympatry and short evolutionary time (Holocene age).
