Abstract
The study is focused on the contemporary context of the screenings of class and political reliability in 1958 and their connection with Charles University. In 1958 a vast screening of political and class reliability was implemented in Czechoslovak state administration apparatus and research institutions.
The study deals with its impact on higher education and especially Charles University, which was mostly influenced indirectly.
