Cold Electron Collisions with Nonpolar Molecules

Abstract

We investigate collisions of cold electrons (energy in order of tens meV) with diatomic molecules by combination of the body frame rigid rotor approximation with the adiabatic frame transformation. Electron-molecule interaction is described by the static-exchange plus polarisation model.

This approximation leads to an acceptable agreement with experimental data measured at the ASTRID laboratory.
