Entrance to the 1st grade of basic schools in the Czech Republic from the demographic point of view

Abstract

This paper analyzes the development of pupils newly enrolled to the first grade of basic schools with regard to age and sex of children, and monitors the numbers of children with the delay of compulsory schooling. Data used in the analysis are from databases of the Institute for Information in Education.
