The aim of the article is to provide teaching materials for the theme of suburbanization to geography teachers at secondary and primary schools and to present some ideas on the example of municipality of Jesenice in the hinterland of Prague. Students work with two variously dated aerial photographs of the same territory and observe land use changes and patterns of new housing construction.
In the simulation game of real estate market, they discuss various interests of municipality council, developer and prospective owners of new houses. Moreover, they talk about the pros and cons of buying house in given locality of Jesenice.
