Abstract
The article is devoted to the education of Czech language in the period of 1939-1945. Using primary sources, in particular curriculum materials related to the teaching of Czech, regulations issued by the Ministry of Education, texbooks, and also epistolar texts, the article tries to explain how official education policy was projected into actual teaching practice.
