Modern equipment in emergency medicine: how to deal with?

Abstract

The authors describe in a review some of the latest tools and equipment that is newly used in emergency medicine for airway management, induction of therapeutic hypothermia, intraosseous infusion or mechanical chest compressions. Part of the text is dedicated to the issue of automated external defibrillators and importance of these devices for survival of cardiac arrest.
