Abstract
In November 2008, the Ministry of Health published a document entitled Trauma care in the Czech Republic, which informs all healthcare professionals about organizational, technical, material and technical assumptions imposed on the medical trauma care facilities that ensure the highest level of care, and are called „trauma centres“. According this document, the Czech Society of emergency and disaster medicine updated subsequently its recommendation on treatment of seriously injured patients in prehospital setting.
