Transport is a dynamic and indispensable part of our everyday lives. Transport Geography, to which the subject of this monography refers to, is relatively small in our discipline, and developed on its support is one of the objectives of the publication.
The content of this monograph are particularly knowledge of the size-importance hierarchy and the structure of Czech settlement centers in terms of passenger bus, rail and road transport. Emphasis is placed on relation of transportation and settlement-complex hierarchies, the developmental aspects and the comparison with the general theory of evolution of geographical organization.
An interaction of centers on the various regional level is also evaluated. Relationship between centre and hinterland is detaily observed in case studies.
