This article deals with a floristic research and an outlook of the vegetation in the area of the park surrounding chateau Kačina (near the town of Kutná Hora in eastern part of the central Bohemia). The park Kačina is extraordinarily landscape-historical and landscape-architectual valued area within the scope of the Czech Republic.
Due the specific exploitation in the past 200 years some types of valuable intermittently wet and mesic meadows and hardwood forests of lowland rivers were conserved. More than 400 taxa of higher plants were found, out of them 3 protected by Czech law and 27 endangered and rare according to the Red List of Czech flora.
