Anotace anglickyx: The review focuses on biology of natriuretic peptides, their role in pathophysiology of heart failure. The authors comment their use in diagnosis of heart failure, and their role in monitoring of the therapy.
The therapeutic experiments using natriuretic peptides and their analogues in patients with heartfailure are discussed. Key words: natriuretic peptides, BNP, NT-proBNP, heart failure.
