Birds in abandoned military training sites in the Czech Republic: species composition and conservation value

Abstract

The study collects information from bird census in abandoned military training sites. The results show these sites host high densities of many species of conservation concern.

At the same time, these sites are endangered due to building activities and vegetation succession.
