Abstract

Aggregation of information is important in many fields, ranging from engineering and economics to artificial intelligence and decision making processes. Aggregation refers to the process of combining a number of values into a single value so that the final result of aggregation takes into account, in a given form, all individual values under consideration.

In decision making processes the values to be aggregated are typically preference or satisfaction degrees. This paper could serve as a theoretical background for applications mainly in the area of decision analysis, decision making or decision support.
