Contrasting effects of climatic and habitat changes on birds with northern range limits in central Europe as revealed by an analysis of breeding bird distribution in the Czech Republic

Abstract

The study shows that bird species negatively affected by habitat change do not shift their range margins in northern direction, even if they should do so due to climate warming. In contrast, species not affected by habitat change extended their distribution.
