Abstract
The chapter forms a methodological supplement to the study. The authors describe geoinformation systems and their possible uses in various types of social analyses, especially analyses of local development.
The authors focus on the use of geoinformation systems in the statistical analyses contained in the second chapter of the study – calculating the traffic accessibility of municipalities and identifying individual settlements.
