The compatibility of having two "careers", work and a family, and the question of gender equality and equal opportunities is an investigated issue. The Generations and Gender Survey data were used in order to specify whether children of a working mother suffer and if there is a job shortage, men should have more of a right to work than women.
Using logistic regression it was found that both these statements are supported most by men, aged 65–79, with basic education, and childless.
