Abstract
The author is based on the realization of the theme word formation activity, which in its publication ”Children and derivation“ given author L. LIPTÁKOVÁ and K.VUŽŇÁKOVÁ.
Provides the reader with the concept of derivational motivation, conceptual map. It introduces an example of word formation activities of the authors, which enriches the experience gained in the implementation of the second theme, with pupils year in Czech language lessons.
It offers more, custom, practical designs and use of methods that can be used for pupils to develop speech and cognitive development.
