Abstract

The chapter summarizes the results of a long term study on a population ecology of cavity roosting bats Myotis daubentonii and Nyctalus noctula in a model study area in Southern Bohemia. Based on 3000 captured bats (1600 Daubenton's, 1400 noctules) we analyze basic patterns in population structure, seasonal dynamics, roost use, and long term population trends.
