Abstract

This article is dealing with the problems of the early care of pupils with educational difficulties, especially in the school literacy development. It introduces a three grade model of the care and continuing verification model.

It puts emphasis on the expansion of the role of the teachers, on pedagogic diagnosis and individualized teacher's help to pupils with difficulties in reading and writing, all in cooperation with parents and professionals from school counseling office and school counseling facilities. This model of care was designed for dealing with current problems when providing education to children with LD.

This model leaves diagnostic-therapeutic principal and establishes principle of preventive intervention. For the time being we are witnessing the growing acceptance of this model especially in practice.

School which are accepting this model can be qualified as "healthy schools", just for the fact that in these schools the principle of preventive intervention is used.
